Resume and CV examples by job

Complete example resumes for eighteen of the most searched jobs and situations, from first jobs and internships to nursing, teaching, data and software roles. Each one has a full summary, work history, skills and education, followed by writing tips and answers to common questions. Each is shown in a different Noga CV template. How to use an example

Copy the structure, not the words. A recruiter can spot a resume that repeats an online example, and the numbers in these examples belong to fictional people. Keep the order of the sections, then write each bullet about something you really did.

Add a number to as many bullets as you can: customers served, patients per shift, hires made, sales goals met. Numbers turn a list of duties into evidence. Start each bullet with a verb and keep it to one line where possible.

Change the summary for every application so that it names the kind of role you want and the skills the job ad asks for. For most people with under ten years of experience, one page is enough.

CV or resume?

In the United States and Canada, a resume is the short document you send with a job application, and a CV is a longer academic record. In the UK, Europe, the Middle East and much of Asia, “CV” is the everyday word for the same short document. The examples here work for both.
